Owner-first compute lending

Spare compute.
On your terms.

Your workstation has room for more.
You still get first call.

More room. Same machine.

Built for the machine you already use

A workstation.
With a little vacancy.

Run a local model. Share an inference route. Put spare resources to work when your machine can afford it.

Vacancyd sits in front of your inference server. Before borrowed work gets through, it checks owner policy, resource availability and the rules for that workload. You choose what can lend, and when.

The sign says it all

Room for work.
Until you need it.

A normal refusal is the policy working. Try the two states below.

Room for borrowed work.

This example route can accept work while its owner is away and the resource checks pass.

Interactive illustration, not live telemetry. Work already admitted follows your configured cancel, drain or finish policy. Resource-scoped routes can have different owner-presence rules.

01 / Presence

Aware of the owner.

On Windows, the session agent reports desktop presence to the service. On Linux, systemd-logind supplies the default presence check. Dedicated machines can use headless policy.

02 / Capacity

Spare means spare.

CPU, memory and GPU checks decide whether a configured route has room. Unknown or stale required readings withhold new work rather than guessing.

03 / Policy

Set the terms.

Choose the resources a workload needs, who may borrow them and what happens to admitted work when policy changes. Pause lending from the owner console.

For a dedicated host: the same Linux release binary, packaged as an unprivileged container. Configure headless policy when nobody sits at it.
